Canterbury Cranes coordinated structural steel deliveries for 5 concurrent projects, ex a lay down that was established on Montreal Street, Christchurch CBD. Projects included:

Ramada Hotel, Christchurch Central, 2017 – 2018 (New Build). The team transported and installed the modular hotel using Daniel Smith’s 250T Crawler Crane for TLC Modular. This project was initially being conducted by another Crane and Transport provider, which would have meant the closure of Columbo Street. When approached, Blair pitched the idea of working inside the property with a different crane type to avoid road closures and ensure the project could be done during the day, avoiding unnecessary down time. Canterbury cranes arranged multiple sub-contractors including foundations and through to structural steel install.

Novotel, CHCH Airport, 2017 (New Build). In addition to the structural steel component, we installed ancillary steel for this exciting project for the Industrial site services team.

Christchurch Library, CHCH Central, 2017 (New Build). For Southbase Group, in collaboration with Daniel Smith, Canterbury Cranes built the library building. We lifted & installed air con units, cladding and glass using our KR250 Rough Terrain 25T Crane and its hydraulic fly gib.

Health Research Education Facility, Christchurch Hospital, 2017 (New Build). For Watts & Hughes, in addition to structural steel logistics, we completed all ancillary works onsite using our Franna AT50 and KR250 Rough Terrain 25T Crane.

Sudima Hotel, Christchurch Central 2017 (New Build). For the team at Amalgamated Builders, we lifted structural steel for the hotel build.
